Our Mission
Neighbors helping neighbors, in the worst moments.
We are an all-volunteer, non-profit team that assists the Boise County Sheriff's Office in searching for and rescuing people who are lost or injured outdoors. Our members give their own time and training so that help is ready when the call comes.
From wilderness searches and swiftwater incidents to backcountry medical rescues, our volunteers respond across some of Idaho's most rugged terrain — at no cost to the people we help.
What We Do
Ready for any call, in any terrain
Our members train year-round across a range of search and rescue disciplines.
Ground Search
Trained teams cover difficult terrain on foot to locate lost or overdue hikers, hunters, and travelers.
Backcountry Medical
Volunteers provide emergency care and safely package and evacuate injured patients from remote areas.
Swiftwater & Rivers
Water-trained members respond to incidents on Boise County's rivers and reservoirs.
Technical Rope Rescue
Rope teams reach patients on steep or cliff terrain where a standard carry-out isn't possible.
Winter & Snow
Snowmobile and over-snow operations keep the team responding through Idaho winters.
Search Management
Incident command and planning coordinate resources so every search runs safely and effectively.
